Many advances have been made with metal braces, making this a fantastic option for anyone seeking orthodontic care. We use a self-ligating bracket, meaning you wont have to deal with pesky elastics. In an effort to provide our patients with the best smile possible, our metal braces also utilizes both a Passive and an Active clip. A Passive clip causes quicker teeth movement, while the Active clip allows for better control of final tooth position. This lets us craft perfect smile as quickly and efficiently as possible.
We are proud to offer the first self-ligating ceramic braces with a Passive and Active clip. Offering the same advantages as the In-Ovation metal braces below, these ceramic brackets are designed with a special rhodium coating to make them less noticeable and provide a superior aesthetic appeal.
For those patients that prefer that a more cosmetically sensitive approach to orthodontic treatment, Leiker Orthodontics offers Invasalign clear aligners. Invasalign works by utilizing a clear, removable aligner that is custom made to fit your mouth. Teeth are straightened little by little through the use of successive aligners until a healthy smile is achieved. Invisalign is an effective and discrete way to straighten your teeth, without attaching any braces to your teeth.
Lingual braces is one of our most popular treatment options for patients who wish to hide their braces. These braces use brackets attached to the interior of your teeth, allowing for orthodontic treatment that is “invisible” when you smile. Very popular among athletes, models, and adult professionals, lingual braces can accomplish the same orthodontic tooth movement as traditional metal braces while being congruent with those that are sensitive to mouth’s appearance.
Similar to lingual braces, Minor Tooth Movement uses brackets that attach to the inside of your teeth for a more hidden form of orthodontic treatment. Minor Tooth Movement is used on the top &/or bottom six front teeth to correct minor alignment problems caused by overcrowding. This treatment can correct alignment in a matter of weeks as opposed to the months of metal braces and is an excellent alternative to Invisalign clear aligners at a less expensive price point.
