Modern metal braces use smaller brackets and more comfortable wires than older braces to move your teeth into position. It’s a little trickier to care for your teeth while you’re wearing braces, but here are some tips:
Brush your teeth for at least two minutes. Hold your toothbrush at a 45-degree angle and brush from the top and the bottom of each wire. Be sure to get under the wires as well.
Thread the floss string and push it down under the wires between your brackets. Remember to floss every tooth, even the ones in the far back.
